Avoid in these uncertain times, as unfortunately they offer zero flexibility when it comes to travel cancellations due to Covid. We booked with them directly and paid €€€ in advance through their own site. Would have appreciated a refund and surely would have liked to try this place on a next occasion. Even a voucher-type solution with sufficient flexibility could work. However they charge 20€ extra per night to change the dates, which they also want you to decide before the start of the original stay. Not an easy call in current global circumstances! Yes these are the tariff conditions that we booked, so legally they are in their right I suppose. It’s disappointing however that making customers happy isn’t top of their mind. For this lack of customer service I’m awarding Volkshotel Amsterdam 2 stars.
Very friendly stuff that makes sure to make everything as comfortable as possible during the stay. The rooms are clean,modern and cosy, there's everything you need. The lobby provides delicious snacks,coffee and also music in a lounge area. There's also a seperated working area. Central location to discover the city.
Like the cafe downstairs. It is a good place for me to grab a coffee and work on my stuff with my laptop. Also like the 7th floor restaurant and bar canvas, nice terrace in summer to chill with friends.
Super hotel and super friendly staff! Clean, cool rooms with an amazing jacuzzi on the rooftop. Recommend!
Have not slept in the hotel but love their bars (ground and 7th floor). Great interior, food and drinks and friendly staff. Ok wifi that is enough to work remotely. Have recommended the place to all friends
