Grand Café-Restaurant Loos
The location is top! Waiters are working hard, but why not sell better bitterballen? There is far better quality available at little extra money. Sell better ones and ask a little more.
For sure we would have re-ordered the bitterballen and extra beer.
We didn't complain but shared our thoughts with the staff.
They acknowledged and where sad they have to sell this poor quality and reasured us that nothing will change. Hopefully this will help?
Loos is the place to be in the historic "Scheepvaartkwartier" for just a coffee, a lunch or for a glass of wine or beer with friends. Service is always enthousiastic, polite but not over the top.
I had a very tasty cauliflower curry soup. I came back expecting to get just the same soup I had a couple of days before. Only last night, it had sliced smoke salmon added in it too, not bad,
Although; what would have been good to know from it was being served alt least, yet in Holland I have observed, only few places has that stream of information from the Kitchen to the table about what a given dish thoroughly contains.
Think about it, just a minimum of information could have made a difference. Especially at this day an age where some people tend to be almost religious about their food. I for one, is not a vegan and have through now 1,5 years been dining weekly at the Loos, - never left disappointed yet.
Very professional and friendly personnel. They hosted the party of my wedding to our fullest satisfaction. From presentation to taste evrything was great! Place to be for a nice lunch and coffee! Recommended!
